Week 2

In this blog I will comment a little on some of the readings I did this week. Its interesting to see how photography has changed dramatically from the 1850's to 2010. The history is definately interesting to read about. I was stunned and amazed after watching the video of the Daguerreotype process of photos being prep for shooting by getting the plates ready and sensitizating them, shooting the picture and developing them.

Time has changed and technology has improved from a big telescopic device/camera into a camera that fits firmly into the palm of your hands. I can see how the first photographs taken would impact the world and people around it. That era of photography was expensive and very unique because everyone was happy to have a picture of themselves.

To introduce a brief history of this topic and to answer the question: Who were the first photographers? Anybody who inspired you? Why? I begin by saying...
Hippolyte Bayard is one of the first photographers, this is in the content that he was one of the first to discover ways of taking and developing pictures. He researched ways in how t0 improve photo quality and developing pictures faster.

One of my favourite photograpgher is a modern and formal model, Nigel Barker. He`s also a judge and photographer on America`s Next Top Model. I`ve seen his work and him in progress of shooting photos and I think he`s great at what he does. He knows how to angle his camera and can give clear directions on how he wants the model to be positioned in order to capture a very delightful picture.

The history of photography goes far back and it will continue to advance. What we call updated technology now will one day be technology of the past and better more improved photography will come about.

Some pictures for week 2 are posted unter *Photograph
